Sunday Evening
MONDAY Ramsho
INTRODUCTION
DOXOLOGY
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as we begin and until we conclude.
May mercy and compassion be poured forth upon us
in this world and the next.
O Lord, our God, to you be glory for ever. Amen.
OPENING PRAYER
O Christ,
open our eyes by the light of your resurrection,
as you enlightened the women who came to your tomb
with aromatic perfumes
and the apostles who came to see what had happened.
Thus we shall all be led toward you,
certain that it is you.
We shall believe in your glorious resurrection,
live in you as the source of our life,
the promise of our own resurrection,
and give you glory and praise, for ever. Amen.
GREETING
Peace be with the Church and her children.
PRAISE OF THE ANGELS
Glory to God in the highest,
and peace on earth and good will to all.
Praise the Lord all you nations,
glorify him all you peoples!
For steadfast is his mercy towards us,
and the truth of the Lord endures for ever.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever.
and peace on earth and good will to all.
PSALMODY
FIRST PRAYER
Lord, have mercy on us and save us.
O Christ,
may the light of your resurrection shine on us.
Like a sun which never sets, may it illumine our lives so that we may discover your path,
avoid mistakes, and easily make our way.
Thus, we shall progress in the joy of your Spirit
and in the strength of your grace until death,
the gateway to resurrection and life,
when we shall praise and glorify you, for ever. Amen.
PSALM OF THE DAY
Antiphon:
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Psalm 19
The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Day pours out the word to day,
and night to night imparts knowledge;
Nor a word nor a discourse
whose voice is not heard;
Through all the earth their voice resounds,
and to the ends of the world, their message.
He has pitched a tent there for the sun,
which comes forth like the groom from his bridal chamber and, like a giant, joyfully runs its course.
At one end of the heavens it comes forth,
and its course is to their other end;
nothing escapes its heat.
The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
The decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
The precepts of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart;
The command of the LORD is clear,
enlightening the eye;
The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever;
The ordinances of the LORD are true,
all of them just;
They are more precious than gold,
than a heap of purest gold;
Sweeter also than syrup
or honey from the comb.
Though your servant is careful of them,
very diligent in keeping them,
Yet who can detect failings?
Cleanse me from my unknown faults!
From wanton sin especially, restrain your servant;
let it not rule over me.
Then shall I be blameless and innocent
of serious sin.
Let the words of my mouth and the thought of my heart find favor before you,
O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen
Antiphon:
The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
SECOND PRAYER
Lord, have mercy on us and save us.
Judge of the living and the dead,
God of spirits and bodies,
you willingly tasted death by dying on the cross
for our salvation.
You were buried and rose from the dead on the
third day to give us life and joy.
Lord, strengthen us now,
so that we may serve you this evening
as we recall your glorious resurrection.
Help us to be always ready to serve your divine majesty and we shall give you thanks and adore your Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.
EVENING PSALMS
Psalm 141: 1-4
O LORD, to you I call; hasten to me;
hearken to my voice when I call upon you;
Let my prayer come like incense before you;
the lifting up of my hands, like the evening sacrifice.
O LORD, set a watch before my mouth,
a guard at the door of my lips.
Let not my heart incline to the evil
of engaging in deeds of wickedness
With men who are evildoers;
and let me not partake of their dainties.
Psalm 142
With a loud voice I cry out to the LORD;
with a loud voice I beseech the LORD.
My complaint I pour out before him;
before him I lay bare my distress.
When my spirit is faint within me,
you know my path.
In the way along which I walk
they have hid a trap for me.
I look to the right to see,
but there is no one who pays me heed.
I have lost all means of escape;
there is no one who cares for my life.
I cry out to you, O LORD:
I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land
of the living.”
Attend to my cry,
for I am brought low indeed.
Rescue me from my persecutors,
for they are too strong for me.
Lead me forth from prison,
that I may give thanks to your name.
The just shall gather around me
when you have been good to me.
Psalm 119: 105-112
A lamp to my feet is your word,
a light to my path.
I resolve and swear
to keep your just ordinances.
I am very much afflicted;
O LORD, give me life according to your word.
Accept, O LORD, the free homage of my mouth,
and teach me your decrees.
Though constantly I take my life in my hands,
yet I forget not your law.
The wicked have laid a snare for me,
but from your precepts I have not strayed.
Your decrees are my inheritance forever;
the joy of my heart they are.
I intend in my heart to fulfill your statutes
always to the letter.
Psalm 117
Praise the LORD, all you nations;
glorify him, all you peoples!
For steadfast is his mercy towards us,
and the truth of the Lord endures for ever.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.
HOOSOYO
PROEMION
Praise, glory and honor to the Lamb,
our Passover who was sacrificed for our sins
and raised from the dead in the glory of the
Father,
Christ who is above all, God eternally blessed.
To the Good One is due glory and honor this evening,
and all the days of our lives,
now and for ever. Amen.
SEDRO
We adore you, O Christ,
at your name all kneel in the heavens above,
on earth, and in the nether world,
and every tongue proclaims you Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
We thank you for humbling yourself,
becoming obedient unto death, even to death
on the cross!
You reconciled us with God, we who were your enemies.
By your blood you atoned for sin and death
and became, by your glorious resurrection, the
pledge of our resurrection and life.
We praise you because you loved us so much that you
gave your life for us;
for though we were dead through sin, you made us
live again.
You erased the stain of our sins by being nailed
to the cross.
You justified us by your grace, poured out on us
through the wound of your bruised heart.
You made us heirs in the hope of life eternal,
saved us through the waters of new birth and
renewal of Holy Spirit.
You made us members of your body and your Church.
We praise you, of whom, by whom and for whom,
all things exist.
We sing your praises with your religious men and women, the just and the pious and all those who call upon you, saying with one voice and with one heart:
to the King of the Ages,
the one God, immortal and invisible,
glory and honor, for ever and ever. Amen.
QOLO
In the resurrection of the Son, a marvelous light shines from the tomb, blessings and mercy are poured out upon us.
The women hurry to leave the tomb; surprised and joyful at the same time, they go to tell his disciples that he is risen.
Lord Jesus, our voice knows you and our heart believes that God raise you from the dead.
Today the Church gives you praise: you who were raised from the dead, have mercy on us.
ETRO
O Christ, you offered your sacrifice to your Father on the cross, and offer yourself on our altars each day,
help us always to carry your death in our bodies,
so that our bodies will also manifest your life.
One day may we rise in the image of your resurrection, and glorify you, for ever. Amen.
READINGS
MAZMOORO

SCRIPTURE READINGS
A Reading from the Book of Exodus
Exodus 2: 1-10
Now a certain man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman, who conceived and bore a son. Seeing that he was a goodly child, she hid him for three months. When she could hide him no longer, she took a papyrus basket, daubed it with bitumen and pitch, and putting the child in it, placed it among the reeds on the river bank. His sister stationed herself at a distance to find out what would happen to him. Pharaoh’s daughter came down to the river to bathe, while her maids walked along the river bank. Noticing the basket among the reeds, she sent her handmaid to fetch it. On opening it, she looked, and lo, there was a baby boy, crying! She was moved with pity for him and said, “It is one of the Hebrews’ children.” Then his sister asked Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and call one of the Hebrew women to nurse the child for you?” “Yes, do so,” she answered. So the maiden went and called the child’s own mother. Pharaoh’s daughter said to her,
“Take this child and nurse it for me, and I will repay you.” The woman therefore took the child and nursed it. When the child grew, she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, who adopted him as her son and called him Moses; for she said, “I drew him out of the water.”
SUPPLICATION
O Son, by your resurrection you have saved the Church from error; hear our supplications and have mercy on us.
You reconciled heaven and earth,
grant peace to your church and keep her children in the light of the cross.
Christ rose from the tomb in glory, and has destroyed death for ever; he planted the seed of eternal life in us and promised us a glorious resurrection in the image of his own.
Open wide the gate of your mercy, as you opened the entrance of your tomb. Give us your peace, O King of Peace, for without you there can be no peace, that the old man may be buried with you to rise with you renewed.
Stand up, O just ones and rejoicer, O youth, for the head of those who are sleeping, has come out of the tomb. Mary, leave your perfumes and go proclaim that the Christ is risen and has appeared.
Glory to the Father, who raised Christ Jesus our Lord in glory; adoration to the beloved Son, who was covered in the glory of the resurrection; thanksgiving to the Spirit, love of the Father and the Son, who by his saving plan accomplished the prophecies. Glory, adoration and thanksgiving to the Trinity, one God, for ever.
The Virgin Mary, your Mother, and the apostles, prophets and martyrs intercede for us; O God through their prayers strengthen the weak, comfort the sick, grant pardon to the deceased, and forgive the faults of us poor sinners.
Exalt, O Lord, the memory of your Mother and your saints; through their prayers grant pardon to us and our deceased. Through the prayers of your Mother, the prophets, apostles and martyrs, watch over the living, and in your mercy, forgive those who have died.
HOOTOMO
Let us confess, adore, and praise the holy and glorious Trinity: Father, Son, + and Holy Spirit.

Lord, come to our assistance and have mercy on us.
LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who are in heaven,
hallowed be your name;
your kingdom come;
your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours,
now and for ever. Amen.
O Lord
the night and the day are yours;
you uphold the light and the sun.
Through your power you direct the sequence of the seasons.
O Lord,
you have brought the day to its close and called forth the night.
Be for us that great Day that never ends.
In the evening let your light shine in our hearts,
and in the darkness of the night,
enlighten us with the knowledge of your truth.
And so, through all the days of our lives,
we shall praise you, Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Father in heaven,
by your living and holy name,
keep us from evil and lead us not into temptation:
for we call upon you, O Lord, our God, our constant hope, glory to you for ever.
O Lord, our Lord,
may our humble worship be pleasing to you;
may our prayers come before you and our actions give
you honor.
Let your mercy, kindness, help, grace and divine love be poured abundantly upon us poor sinners,
both in heaven and on the earth
which you have created in your goodness.
O Lord, our God, to you be glory for ever.
Amen.

Peace be with you.
And also with you.
O God,
through the prayers of your Mother and the saints who have believed in you;

through the prayers of the just, the priests, the holy fathers, the pastors and doctors of true faith;
through the prayers of N., Pope of Rome, N., our Patriarch, and N., our Bishop,

Father, Son, + and Holy Spirit,

Amen.
May God forgive your sins,
pardon your failings,
and deliver you from the power of the enemy.
May he grant you the remission of your offenses.
Go in peace, and pray to Christ for me.
