Lord, Jesus,
in the richness of your grace and mercy,
grant that we may praise your rising from the tomb
with joyful hearts and clear consciences,
glorify your victory with holy words,
and proclaim your triumph with clear voices.
And we shall join with the heavenly hosts in
exalting your greatness and mercy,
with your Father and Holy Spirit, now and forever.

Lord, have mercy on us and save us.

and be joined with the sheep on your right,

O Lord, to you I call; hasten to me;

Praise, glory and honor to the good and merciful Lord;
in his kindness, he became incarnate among us
and willingly endured death in our place.
Of his own accord, he plunged into the abyss of death,
gave joy to his disciples by his resurrection,
and illuminated the nations with the light of his salvation.
To him is due glory and honor this evening,
now and forever.

Who can praise the greatness of your mercy, O Word of God,
and what voice can bless you who are above all praise?
Neither mind nor tongue can describe the marvels you have
performed on this holy day of your resurrection from
the dead.
With the psalmist David, we exclaim:
“This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad
and rejoice!
This is the day that has no equal;
This is the great feast, crown and jewel of all feasts.
And now, Christ our God, on this day of your resurrection from the dead,
we ask you to grant us the forgiveness of our sins and faults.
Through the fragrance of this incense (our prayers), which we offer you,
grant justice to the oppressed and comfort to the afflicted.
Bring back those far away, direct those who are near,
and guide those who travel.
Protect the priests, purify the deacons, and pardon the sinners: watch over the just, protect the orphans, and help the widows.
Drive away revolutions and extinguish troubles.
Remember those who have died in the faith and grant them
rest in your heavenly kingdom;
may we celebrate with them the feast that never ends,
and proclaim your glory and that of your Father and your holy and living Spirit,
now and forever.

From the mountain tops, angels and men praise the Lord and

Blessed are those who celebrate Sunday with psalms and hymns

A Reading from the Book of Proverbs
Proverbs 26: 1-27
Like snow in summer, or rain in harvest, honor for a fool is out of place. Like the sparrow in its flitting, like the swallow in its flight, a curse uncalled-for arrives nowhere. The whip for the horse, the bridle for the ass, and the rod for the back of fools. Answer not the fool according to his folly, lest you too become like him. Answer the fool according to his folly, lest he become wise in his own eyes. He cuts off his feet, he drinks down violence, who sends messages by a fool. A proverb in the mouth of a fool hangs limp, like crippled legs.Like one who entangles the stone in the sling is he who gives honor to a fool. Like a thorn stick brandished by the hand of a drunkard is a proverb in the mouth of fools. Like an archer wounding all who pass by is he who hires a drunken fool. As the dog returns to his vomit, so the fool repeats his folly. You see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. The sluggard says, “There is a lion in the street, a lion in the middle of the square!” The door turns on its hinges, the sluggard, on his bed! The sluggard loses his hand in the dish; he is too weary to lift it to his mouth. The sluggard imagines himself wiser than seven men who answer with good sense. Like the man who seizes a passing dog by the ears is he who meddles in a quarrel not his own. Like a crazed archer scattering firebrands and deadly arrows Is the man who deceives his neighbor, and then says, “I was only joking.” For lack of wood, the fire dies out; and when there is no talebearer, strife subsides. What a bellows is to live coals, what wood is to fire, such is a contentious man in enkindling strife. The words of a talebearer are like dainty morsels that sink into one’s inmost being. Like a glazed finish on earthenware are smooth lips with a wicked heart.
With his lips an enemy pretends, but in his inmost being he maintains deceit; When he speaks graciously, trust him not, for seven abominations are in his heart. A man may conceal hatred under dissimulation, but his malice will be revealed in the assembly. He who digs a pit falls into it; and a stone comes back upon him who rolls it.
A Reading from the Gospel of Luke
Luke 12: 22-34
He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life and what you will eat, or about your body and what you will wear. For life is more than food and the body more than clothing. Notice the ravens: they do not sow or reap; they have nei-

ther storehouse nor barn, yet God feeds them. How much more important are you than birds! Can any of you by worrying add a moment to your lifespan? If even the smallest things are beyond your control, why are you anxious about the rest? Notice how the flowers grow. They do not toil or spin. But I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass in the field that grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? As for you, do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not worry anymore. All the nations of the world seek for these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, seek his kingdom, and these other things will be given you besides. Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your belongings and give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.
SUPPLICATION
O Son, by your resurrection you saved your Church from error; hear our supplications and have mercy on us.
You reconciled heaven and earth,
grant peace to your Church
and keep her children in the light of the cross.
O Son of God, give joy to the Church on your great Day,
and seal her children with the sign of the cross.
Let your peace reign within her,
and may her feasts be multiplied in the shadow of your peace.
May she be guarded against error, and labor each day with
the builders of faith. May your Day be a feast where all worries are driven away, and may your peace reign at all times in
her assemblies.
May the rebellious, who seek to destroy her, be driven by your cross from their dwellings, and led into the path of truth.
May your cross, O Lord, be for her shepherds the fold
where all the sheep are gathered to your Father.
Son of God, your Church praises you on the day of your feast; her children raise their voices in praise of your manifestation.
Lord, keep your Church and her children from all evil,
that they may glorify you on the day of your feast.
Praise be to you!
Let us remember the prophets, apostles and martyrs,
all those who have labored and suffered in the vineyard of
the Lord: Saint James, Saint Maron and his companions,
and Saint Ephrem, the Harp of the Holy Spirit. O God,
through their prayers strengthen the weak, comfort the sick,
grant pardon to the deceased, and forgive the faults
of us poor sinners.

Exalt, O Lord, the memory of your Mother and your saints;
through their prayers grant pardon to us and to our
deceased. Through the prayers of your Mother, the
prophets, apostles and martyrs, watch over the living,
and in your mercy, forgive those who have died.

Let us thank God for all the graces he has bestowed on us
